Timmy & Rock fit for fight


Hello again, you.

It's been a little while now, still going through my games making them browser compatible.
This time Timmy & Rock had it's turn.. and boy did it need some attention. To begin with I had already done a patch for this game, not a compatibility patch, but some general polish. added some HUD elements and made it a more complete game compared to the initial Ludum Dare entry. When I came around to it this time though I could not find my old project file anywhere.. I believe it rests on my dead laptop. anyways!

So I got the old project files that I had uploaded here and started from there. I set a goal to at least have the same amount of polish as the other patch before I would be happy to push This update. and here we are.. finally. So what's the news? well, I have done some changes, removed some things I want to re-do and added things that I felt would build a neat base to work on in the future.

Added depth to the movement, so rather than just moving form side to side you can now move up and down as well while keeping true to the original. I had to redo the HUD so that's brand new also along with two new sound tracks and some SFX, I also made new sprites for Timmy.. & Rock along with updating every sprite to stay within a color pallete.

The biggest change comes from the brand new upgrade system! This system was part of my original idea but I never got around to doing it before now. in-between each level you walk inside Rock to get more powers, you will be granted a choice between 3 upgrades and while inside you can chat with Rock's little minions to heal yourself and rock, as well as changing attacks.. if you have any unlocked ;)

I think that covers the bulk of it, Next on the work list is Home the Homeless before I start to work on an idea I have been mulling on.
